 Disasters hit our world without any warning
such as the tsunami in 2004 and famines in Niger and Sudan in 2005.
There are always areas requiring international
assistance and Kinsale Red Cross strives to assist in whatever way we
can. In 2005 alone, Kinsale Red Cross raised in excess of €140,000,
showing the significant generousity of our community to international
victims.
We organise collection days, drop in centres for donations, walks and
runs including members partaking in Dublin City Marathon and Cork City
Marathon under the group leadership of James O'Mahony (picture below shows
the group who
ran in the Dublin City Marathon 2006)
 Every penny that is given to the Red Cross goes to the cause it is
collected for with no contribution being taken for administration.
We are extremely proud of our dedicated team in Kinsale Red Cross and
invite anyone who is interested in becoming part of our fundraising team,
be it collecting or organising an event, to contact us.
